More than 1,000 chefs to cook up a storm in KLKUALA LUMPUR: More than 1,000 professional chefs from around the world will converge here to outdo one another in the World Golden Chef Competition.Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen said about 50,000 visitors were expected to attend the three-day event which starts on July 30.Chefs from 25 countries, from as far as Spain and Canada, will be dishing out their culinary best at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
China will be sending the highest number of contenders, with a delegation of 650, followed by Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, US, Netherlands and Britain.
