As part of its community service project, Bayview Hotel Melaka is embarking on a blood donation drive jointly organised with Hospital Melaka on Tuesday, 25 May 2010.
Themed, “Donate Blood, Save Lives”, the blood donation campaign will be held at the Concourse Area, Level 1 from 3.00pm – 6.00pm. Hotel guests and members of the public are invited to donate their blood. Refreshments will be served.
A healthy person need only contribute 450 mililitres of blood and the whole process is completed in ten minutes. Blood can be safely donated by a healthy person three or four times a year. After each extraction, it only takes 36 hour for the body to reconstitute the fluid volume and approximately 4 – 8 weeks for the blood cell count to return to a normal level. Besides, it is a painless effort and more importantly, you could save a life. You may perceive your deed to be small in action, but what you give will certainly go a long way to saving lives.
So do your deed for the day! Somehow, somewhere, you just might help save someone’s life.
