This year, Melaka has chosen as one of the venue for this beauty pageant. On this coming 26th – 27th December 2008, D’Touch Promotion Sdn. Bhd. supported by Melaka State Government once again will help to organize this group of beauties from more than 45 countries around the world for a heritage tour. Remember my posting about Miss Tourism International Queen Malaysia 2007 and Miss Earth 2008?
Bringing The World To Malacca!
The Miss Tourism International pageant is by far, the most extensive pageantry effort in promoting the host nation’s tourism industry. Hosting it in Malaysia enables the country to reveal to the world its many beautiful facets, from the bustling cities, the idyllic towns to the sun-kissed islands. With the country’s unique melting pot of cultures, memories of Malaysia will hope to linger in the contestants’ minds. The final night will be on 31st December 2008 at Sunway Lagoon Resort & Hotel.
The contest also serves as a platform to educate and promote tourism and cultural exchange among the participating beauty queens, the Miss Tourism International has grown to be the proverbial vehicle; capturing the essence of the host country and its way of life through the eyes of these beauties.
During the city tour in Melaka, all the beauty pageant will be bring to Heritage Sites such as Melaka Sultanate Palace, Porta de Santiago (A’Famosa). St. Paul Hill, Stadhuys Complex and also to the latest Melaka tourism products namely Eye on Malaysia, Melaka River Cruise and Taming Sari Tower.
They also going to Taman Mini Malaysia & Mini Asean for cultural show. On 27th Dec (8.00pm), you also can meet all the beauty pageant during X’Mas Open House at Portuguese Settlement. This is a good opportunity to meet them live.
