The RM600k++ lab contains 4 pc for 2D application, 4 pc for 3D application with Maya & 3D May installed, 4 rendering server with 6TB capacity and post production suite. The lal also can cater for recording and animation purposed. For that purposed, it have 2 special computer with Mac and Windows system.
Melaka want its people to take part in creative content industry including animations. This is because the scenario of animation industry or creative video content have a tendency to outsource their work outside their country. For example Hollywood producer like to outsource their work to Philippine. The work force at Philippine are cheaper thus they can increase the profit by decreasing the post-production cost.
The global market value for Shared Service Outsourcing (SSO) is USD$383 billion or RM1.3 trilion in 2004 and its project an increasing of 70% market value to USD$641 billion or RM2.2 trilion in 2009. Now you can see why the state want to grab this opprtunity. Maybe someday we can see a Shrek or Toy Story production done in Melaka! The advantage are outside producer can invest here in Melaka, give opportunity for local talents to work and they can travel to Melaka as a tourist.
Well kids, go to your study room, start studying hard hoping that you can take a Multimedia Course if you can go to College. A brighter future awaits you!.
My daughter seems to enjoy technology, but I prefer her to be a Medical Doctor.
