The Malaysian Youth Museum, which is located in the former General Post Office building next to Christ Church, was established following a decision by the Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) in 1989 to set-up a museum to honour the country’s youths. The objectives of the museum, among others, are to create public awareness on the roles of youths in the country’s development apart from instilling a sense of patriotism and to motivate youths.
Among others the museum focuses its attention on the various roles played by youths throughout the country’s history apart from the activities and roles of the various youths bodies in the country. Be it their involvements in politics, sports, community or even religion, the role of the youths are well acknowledged by the museum.
Do visit this museum, it’s open everyday from 9.00 am till 5.30 pm.
Entrace fee only RM2.00 for adult and RM0.50 for children.
