Before Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall was build, the place was a field, not an ordinary football field but it has a long history back in 1957 – The Independence Day. At this place, the Proclamation of Independence was announce by Malaysia first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman. Now the area are rebuild with Melaka Megamall modern shopping complex and the field is at the top of it.
