Thanks Mom!

Thanks mother for everything. Mothers day that are celebrated on every May second week of Sunday is only like a ringing alarm for us throughout the year. Our leaders, media, shopping mall and website will keep us reminded about the date. Good for the business too.

Dinos Alive at Dataran Pahlawan

Dinosaurs and pre-historic creature are now displayed at Dataran Pahlawan Melaka. I think some of us might have seen this kind of dinosaurs exhibition in Kuala Lumpur. Actually Dinos Alive have already been placed in few other countries during their world tour. You can read it at their website.

Your kid will learn the fact about all the dinosaurs. Well… in this information age, fact is not a big deal because with the Internet we can digest as many information as we want . Melaka is among 45 places to go in 2012

45 places to go in 2012 not on Malaysian soil but on New York Times perspectives. Read the article on nytimes about The 45 Places to Go in 2012. On top of the list are Panama Canal, Helsinki in Finland, the Authentic Myanmar, London (of course the Olympics!).

Meanwhile Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen was proud of that Melaka listing. But she also targeted that tourist arrival in Malaysia will drop this 2012 due to the the unstable global economic situation, especially in Europe.Read here. Anyway the promotion must go on….

I met with the Secretary of the Navy

Few weeks ago United States Secretary of the Navy was here in Melaka for short non official visit. It’s Mr. Ray Mabus the 75th United States Secretary of the Navy. We help him to find suitable antique shop around Hereen Street and Jonker Street. I think we don’t have post like Secretary of the Navy in Malaysia. In United States, The Secretary of the Navy is responsible for conducting all the affairs of the Department of the Navy and work directly under President and the Secretary of Defense.

Group tour in Melaka

Melaka are becoming hot spot for group tour especially for School Students and Government department all over the countries. The hot item will be Melaka River Cruise because at one time the parking lot are full with buses until it is hard to find space for your car. Menara Taming Sari can’t be miss also. Next is at the Zoo area in Ayer Keroh and after that Heritage Zone in Banda Hilir.

As school holidays are near, Hotels and MICE facilities such as banquet hall are almost fully booked. Why mice facilities? Well there will be many weddings and private events. Famous place for MICE is like Melaka International Trade Center (MITC).

Children indoor fun at Mahkota Parade

End of the year will be the monsoon. Flood in Bangkok is worst as seen on TV. I heard the Government are preparing for the biggest flood security plan for state at east coast of Malaysia. Here at my place heavy rain will occur in the late afternoon.

Although it’s raining, my child can still ask me when to go to the nearest open water park. Well I gave them the option for indoor water park and they seems okay with it….
