The early Bulldoze in Melaka



This small machinery is a bulldozer that was used before 2nd world war to open up estates for rubber plantation in the interior of this states. Where other domestic farming still used a real bull that day.

Smaller bulldozers such as this was used to make pathways in the secondary jungle so that the workers could move about to cut down the trees and its clearance.

Chain Links track controlled its movement and 50% of petrol and 50% of kerosene generated power of its movement. See, if the old technology can adopt 50-50 fueling, why not at the present? We can put 50% petrol and 50% of other liquid for cost saving huh?

The lucky 250,000th Museum visitor



This is Yeow Tee Chin, 22, a shock student From MMU because his trip to the Melaka Museums got him winning a prize . We can call this ‘Cultural Shock’.

He was the 250,000th visitor on that day and in conjunction with Melaka Heritage Cooking Carnival 2010, the Melaka Musuem Board decided to reward the lucky visitor.

Allentan Trufaces at Melaka Art Gallery

Do you know Mr. Allentan? A painter and an artist? I don’t know too.

But if you are an art lover and can enjoy seeing abstract painting, you can know Allentan better by visiting Melaka Art Gallery here at Banda Hilir. Starting from 18th May, 89 Allentan painting will be displayed at Melaka Art Gallery. The Solo exhibition is named Trufaces.

About Allentan:

allentan is a Malaccan born self-taught artist who expresses his emotions through his art, often using human relations and psyche as his main theme. Its uniqueness is the representation of his perception of human emotions. It all started as a personal journey in 2002 to re-explore his passion for painting. His collection was initially never meant to be exhibited in public but was actually a legacy to his family and close friends. He calls these paintings “TrueFACES.”

Shanghai Acrobatic Dancer in Melaka…

Starting from 17 August, a group of Chinese acrobats from Shanghai will perform their skills here at PERZIM (Melaka Museum Incorporated) Jalan Kota. Banda Hilir. The groups consist of 45 dancers and the youngest is 10 years old. Public can buy the tickets for the show and the price are RM5.00 for students, Adults RM10 and tourist RM15. Show is scheduled 4 times a day and about 2 hours per show.

Among skills that the group will be doing are Kung Fu Style, Ancient Chinese Acrobatic move and artistic dancing. Enjoy the video below during their preview at People Museum (PERZIM)
