You have more than one house? Buying a property is long said to be a value investment. So to cash out either you sell it in the future or you rent it and collect the monthly cash.

So how about the element of a guest house? In an area that so strategic in terms of tourist hot spot, to turn you rent house into an ala hotel is somthing to think of…

But usually people mislead it by calling this kind of house a homestay. By the term that have been develop by Tourism Ministry of Malaysia, a fully furnished individual house being rent by a guest is not a homestay.

Melaka Maju 2010…by OECD



At last the announcement was been made by Prime Minister at 8.10 on 20/10. Announcement was made from Video Conferencing Buletin Utama TV3 at PWTC. At Stadium Hang JEbat Melaka, it was massive 50,000 crowd. Governor,Chief Miniester, Speaker of the House, State Exco Members also celebrating with the people. Also Present at Stadium Hang Jebat Melaka was John Hall – Project Leader, The Global Project on Measuring the Progress of Societies OECD.

Melaka – to be a garden city…



Night also blooming with flowers – Banda Hilir

There is only one season in Malaysia, so in Melaka, the flowers are blooming throughout the year. It is not to hard to make a garden full of flowers here. Not need waiting for the spring season for the flowers to flourish. It is estimated that Malaysia have more than 15000 of flower species . 15000? I just know 10 from the 15000. If you drive along Malaysian road, among famous species that are planted are hibiscus, Ixora, Bougainvillea, Yellow Alamanda, frangipani and Heliconia. Enter the Ayer Keroh Melaka toll exit, start counting flowers as the City Council aiming to turn Melaka into a garden city. Read about it fron Melaka Hari Ini Below:

MELAKA from the Top – Dennis De Witt



When talking about the Eurasian in Melaka, we always highlighted the Portuguese. Seldom we exposing the Dutch descendants. Actually the Dutch Descendants here are a minority within the minority. Not like the Indo-Dutch Eurasians from Indonesia that known to exist and exposed in the country film / modeling industry. One of the Melaka Dutch Descendants, Dennis De Witt, actively creating an awareness about the Melaka Dutch Descendants Existence by writing few books.

Maa I’m like a model!

Last Saturday my friends want to take some of the scenic Melaka view to be captured on photo. My friends also offered to shoot the photo of my family professionally on various location. My kids love the activities and they are following the photographer on various historical places and shopping mall. It’s good to have your picture been taking with a heavy professional camera by the pros. Look very magazine. Will upload the photo when they finished editing it.

Malaysia top 10 on Lonely Planet..



It’s time to visit Malaysia! But it’s rainy season here and you got to bring enough umbrella :-) . Malacca got many Indoor attraction like all the 26 Museum. Rainy days is suitable time to be in the museum and loitering around at authentic cafe around Melaka Town. Despite of the recent H1N1 outbreak, Malaysia tourist arrival are still encouraging! A Taboo you should think when travel abroad – Not Malaysia



You will not hope this kind of thing happen in the middle of a vacation…

Usually a country where tourism will be their important source of nation GDP, people will appreciate it and welcome all tourist that come to their country with open hand. Here in Melaka, we do various of tourist friendly campaign to educate the community about hospitality. Tourism players like hotelier, taxi driver, beca (trishaw) owner and small businesses are advice to be nice with tourist and don’t overcharged for their service. The newest campaign was the smile campaign. Tourism Malaysia also doing serious effort on promoting Malaysian Hospitality and making foreigners feel Malaysia is the prefect place for a 2nd home.
