Melaka are ready to boost the state medical industry with the development plan of few medical infrastructure. Currently Melaka have 3 private hospital and each district have own General Hospital (government hospital). The 3 private hospital are Putra Hospital, Mahkota Medical Centre (MMC) and Pantai Hospital. All the private hospital are in the town area. The newest addition of private hospital will be a Melaka Straits Medical Centre in Klebang.
What more is, a World Class Physiotherapy / Rehabilitation Center will be develop at Bemban, Jasin Melaka. Apart from that, Bemban is a small town in Jasin District will be a City of Health and Education in Melaka. The World Class Physiotherapy / Rehabilitation Center will own by Social Security Organization (SOCSO) of Malaysia or known as PERKESO. This centre is aimed for any injured employees all over Malaysia to undergo physiotherapy training. The center will be component no 5 in Bemban City of Health and Education. Other component in the Bemban City of Health are Nursing College Ministry of Health, Inland Revenue Board Training Center, Cyberjaya College University and a Medical College by Indian Investor.
