Batu Berendam International Airport Melaka (LTBB) will be a new hub for Low Cost Flight company Air Asia. The opening is expected on 8 December 2008 and Air Asia will do their first Inaugural Flight to 4 international destination and 2 domestic route from LTBB. 2 domestic route are 1) Melaka – Penang, 2) Melaka – Langkawi and for international route are 1) Padang, 2) Palembang, 3) Pekan Baru dan Medan.

Hello all, to frens & bloggers who called my mobile this evening till tonight I am sorry as I am not able to answer the phone call coz I am in the hospital right now. I am having my second baby and it’s a baby boy. Baby was born about 9.30pm and I enter the labor room about 8.30pm. The process is normal and the baby is healthy with eyes wide open. No name decided yet. As usual my husband will google some good baby name for us to choose.
Will updates more picture of my baby soon!. Wanna rest…Peace

There are common word in tourism industry that public used to hear but maybe unsure what is the meaning about. Below are few common abbreviation used in this industry with few words also specific to Melaka tourism.

| Backpacker | A visitor for the purpose of a holiday or special event who stays in a backpackers lodge/hostel |
| Business Travel | Travel of 1 - 365 days duration for the purpose of attending a convention or training, conducting official/government or private business. |
| Deregulation | Removal or relaxing of barriers to travel such as restrictions on the nature of outbound travel, amount of money taken out of the country, visa requirements and costs, air service agreements. |
| Domestic tourism | Travel within the country of residence. |
| FIT | Free Independent Travellers - visitors coming for holiday who do not purchase pre-packaged travel or pay for anything other than international airfares prior to arriving in Malaysia. Whilst in Malaysia, they organise their own travel as they go, do not travel as part of a tour group or on a coach tour. |

| Group Travel | Often used to mean coach tour travellers, but can also refer to holiday-makers who travel with a group of two or more couples, a family group, a school or special interest group, etc. |

July 8 QUEBEC CITY (AFP) – - A Hindu temple in Cambodia, two historic Malaysian trading towns and an early agricultural site from Papua New Guinea were added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List on Monday.
Honored were the 11th century Preah Vihear temple site, perched on a mountaintop on the Thai-Cambodia border; the cities of the Straits of Malacca, Melaka and George Town in Malaysia, and the Kuk Early Agricultural Site in Papua New Guinea, marking the country’s first entry on the list.
The UNSECO committee has been meeting in this oldest of Canadian cities since Wednesday to consider adding to its coveted list of protected architectural and natural wonders.

Banda Hilir June 17th, Melaka official newspaper MHI reported that an old fort from the Portuguese era in Melaka once being destroyed by British between 1806 and 1807 was founded. The Bastion, Fredrick Hendrick now being excavates, founded on the construction ground at an old Traffic Police Station base. It is believe that the bastion before was a control post build by Portuguese when invaded Melaka in 1511. Before this, 2 more fort has been found near to the A Famosa Fortress and Middleburg Bastion that accidentally found during the Taming Sari Tower development. Middleburg Bastion rebuild work is now near completion.

Sunday…Think want to go for a walk with my small family. Consisting Me, Husband and daughter. The real objective is to give some lesson to my small tot on the environment issue and other creatures that lives among us as human being. Wow since when I sound like the WWF representative . Zoo?…Melaka zoo covers area to wide, with me 7 month pregnant I think we skip the zoo although its the biggest zoo in Malaysia. Ahh what about the Butterfly and Reptile sanctuary? Yes sound like a perfect place for a beginner like Chacha to learn about environment and ecology. Off we go the reptile sanctuary..me? No I am not paying the entrance fees
