Because In the old days, the street is like a Small Industrial Area at present time, where all the small and medium Industries are located.

Kampung Ketek



Kampung Ketek the almost forgotten…

One of the oldest village recorded since the Dutch era in Melaka is ‘Kampung Ketek’ or Ketek Village. It’s history can be track down on the transcript in the Malay Anal written by famous Malay literary figure in 18th century and now describes as “The Father of Modern Malay Literature” – Abdullah Munsyi. At the past, Kampung Ketek was called Kampung Pali. Now it is surrounded by old shop houses and strategically located at the UNESCO world heritage zone.
