Hang Tuah festival 2011

Hang Tuah is a Melaka warrior legend. Like King Arthur mythology in England. The undefeated heroic aspect of this warrior making the legends and myth more interesting to talk rather that the actual history itself.

So the Hang Tuah festival will be held at Melaka Malay Sultanate Musueum at Banda hilir, from 23 to 25 September 2011. Just behind Porta de Santiago. The festival will try to exhibit all the Malay culture and custom in a live demo.

Another Luck Well if You Spotted the White Croc!

Wells are among the famous human creation for fairy tales. Around the world there are many stories about wishing well. The ancient Germanic and Celtic considered wells and springs sacred places. They throw the armory of their defeated enemy in to the well after battles as an offering to their god. Normal practice for dealing with an ancient or luck well are throwing coins deep into it and widely accepted around the world. You can see Chinese or European throwing coins into a well for luck.

Hang Tuah & Hang Jebat – True Mausoleum?

Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat the famous duel in old Malay folklore. Once best friends with a band of five fighters. Hang Tuah was the most skilful and Jebat was the second most skilful. Malay folklore said that Hang Tuah was vanished in Duyong River with his Kris Taming Sari and Hang Jebat was torn apart by Sultan and the Body was thrown away to the Melaka Straits because of his murderous rampage and confrontation against Sultan.
