eyeonmalaysia @ Malacca is Now Open!



Malaysia’s stunning showcase & Melaka exciting entertainment venue is now open to the public. Although not the world tallest, the eyeonmalaysia is tall enough for viewers to capture the 20km breathtaking view of the Historical City and straits of Melaka horizon in 3 rounds ride for approx. 12 minutes. It has 42 gondolas, 1 vip gondola equip with plasma tv, dvd player,a mini fridge and you can take a seat with plush leather seats. The whole ferris wheel is weighting 400 tonnes and using the latest German & Swiss technology.

Ground Breaking Ceremony of Eye on Malaysia – Melaka

At last all the papers were completed and today 9th June 2008 the Ground Breaking Ceremony of Eye on Malaysia – Melaka by Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam Chief Minister of Melaka. Other VIP’s including Datuk Othman Muhamad – State Speaker, Datuk Omar Kasih – State Secretary, Datuk Zainal Husin – UPEN Director, Mr. Adam Young – CEO Eye on Malaysia Melaka. The event took place at Melaka River Mouth in front of the Melaka CIQ and Marina project.

Melaka State Government has appointed Datuk Zainal Husin as a Chairman of Eye on Malaysia Melaka with Mr. Adam Yong as a CEO. The project build on 4 acre state government land. The Ferris Wheel is 60 meter high and 400 tone in weight. With 42 gondola attached this ferris wheel move with its 21 wheel radial using Swiss-German technology. Visitors can see as far as 20 kilometers with the 12 minutes ride. Eye on Malaysia will have a value added that are laser beam and sound with its world largest water screen measuring 90 x 30 meter. Aerospace exhibition also will be available.

Eye on Malaysia soon will be Eye on Melaka

Giant ferris wheel, Eye on Malaysia which is currently stands at Lake Titiwangsa Kuala Lumpur maybe moved to Melaka and guys.. its permanently. Melaka State government bid the giant ferris wheel to obtain it to bring more boost to the tourism industry here. CM said state is in the process of negotiating with the operators of the 60m ferris wheel. Either renting or purchase it once lease with the federal government expires on August 31st this year.

This biggy wheel will be under Kumpulan Melaka Berhad(KMB). MOU has already been signed between KMB CEO Ismail Lajen and Adam Yong, CEO of Ad Suria Sdn. Bhd., the operators. Cost of rent is RM5million a year including installation whereas the cost of buying the whole system is RM22.5million. If anything goes find, the ferris wheel would be dismantled and reassembled here in Melaka just in time for the Deepavali and the end of the school holidays during October.
