Westerners usually find Malaysia is country with lot of exotic kind of fruit. Why the Asians don’t feel like apple, pear or strawberries are exotic? Maybe because we can easily get fruits like that on our local supermarket. The supply are many and no way fruits like apple, oranges,pear or strawberries will be shortage.

Promoting tourism with bottle..

Natural fruit juice is good for your health. Like oranges, everyone know oranges and you can easily make yourself a glass of orange juice. Malaysia also have a species of orange that grow locally.

Usually we sell the juice by promoting all the vitamins and nutrient. When we buy the ABC brand orange juice, we don’t really care where the oranges came from. Maybe from Cameron Highland, China, Washington or mixed from the rest of the world.

Instead of promoting the fruit juice goodness, there are also manufacturer that emphasize on Place of Origin, The History and Unique bottle. What will we get is an authenticity. Look at this example:


A Noni juice . The bottle write ‘Tahitian Noni’. So it will promote Tahiti Island. I saw this juice here in Malaysia..

Talking About Fruits, Melaka have the World Largest Tropical Fruit Park…

In this fruits season, the best place to visit is D-Paradise. D-Paradise is a huge fruits orchard. It has 800 species of exotic fruits. You read it..800 species!. Now they have Fruits Fiesta. From June to August come to D-Paradise and eat all you can. Over 800 to eats. 1 day not enough!. Other than the world largest tropical fruits farm title, D-Paradise aslo have other ‘World Largest’ under the hood. The list goes here:-

1-World Largest Land Crab (of course not from around here, its the famous robber crab!)
2-World Largest Collection of Cactus.
3-World Largest Collection of Monkey Cup Pitchers.

It’s Fruity Season Here!…

Malaysia is a tropical country and just got one season. Sunny days and rainy days. You can’t easily predict the rain here. At one time you go out from the house the sun shine brightly and a minute later rain comes in. But hey… we got another season here, the all new fruit season .Tropical local fruits like Durians, mangosteen and rambutan are seasonal fruits that you can get only once a year. The local fruits season range from June to August.Let’s checkout what are in my mom in law back yards

The rambutans also blooming…but not ripe enough.

Mangosteen still not ripe, for non South East Asian readers, although the color are green, it’s not like green apple. You can’t eat it just like that.

Duku, not ripe enough also. I cant find english name for it. But found article about it at wikipedia.

Usually Durians are not supposed to be pluck, it will fall for itself when ripe and we collect it at the ground. But some say now with modern technologies Durian are harvested at the tree.
