As the title appear, book village has vast collection of books locals and international. First Book Village in Malaysia is At Langkawi, Kedah. The founder and Chairman is Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Sanusi Junid. The Idea of Book Village was also from him and CM received the idea positively. So as Langkawi is the 1st book village, that makes Melaka 2nd. I was told that this book village is the 5th in Asia and 33rd in the world. All book village in the world are networked by the International Organizations of Books Towns and Book Towns Movement. Currently 15,000 books reside at book village.
