View 4000 airports database 1,400 airlines flights at Airlikes

It’s very rare to see a website just focus on reviewing an Airport. For hotels, there are tons of website in the Internet. But since the increasing demand of Budget Airlines and many people can afford to take a flights, now there many talks about Airport.

The Airport will be the first building tourist will experience before continuing the journey to the particular country. A 5 star treat from the airport citizens will bring a good start. Minor subject that also will bring good response from tourist are like baggage handling, ground transportation and nearest hotel for transit.

Using Airlikes, you can read reviews of other visitors and you also can do the same about airport that you have visited.

When open the Airlikes websites, the website will detect your origin of place for example of you are in Melaka, the website will display you place Melaka and nearest airport from yout base. For example nearest International Airport from Melaka will be (KUL) Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Kuala Lumpur and (SIN) Changi Airport, Singapore.

You can read the airport code using IATA Code and ICAO code at airlikes.

Wings Air start operation at Melaka Airport

This is the second Airlines operating in Melaka for the new airport. Wings Air using Brand new aircraft (ATR72-500) fly into Melaka from 9 July 2010.

Schedules are

Pekan Baru (PKU) 1025 Melaka (MKZ) 1215
Melaka (MKZ) 1245 Pekan Baru 1235

Daily flight from Pekan Baru – Melaka – Pekan Baru but with Wings Air you can Connect to Jakarta : Depart Pekan Baru at 1440 and Arrive Jakarta (JKT) 1620.

Price for one way Melaka – Pekan baru is RM214.

The ATR72-500 have a capacity of 72 Economy Class Seating. More info about Wings Air here.

Just back from Shanghai World Expo…

Shanghai Evening…

I’m just arrived from the State working visit to China and among the place that we go is Shanghai World Expo. Well wait until I sort all the picture from the camera and upload it to the blog. Can’t find much Internet there and the hotel wifi is not cheap. I think Shanghai is among well known People’s Republic of China city among others because it’s usually features in Movies like Shanghai Knights and Shanghai Noon.

This is my first time in China, and Shanghai is sure a hot place now. Equal to Malaysia, but I think it’s hotter because the rain also bringing the hot air. Maybe this season is hot…

City of Shanghai is really big with I think more than 1000++ High rise building that have more that 40 floors . Halal food is hard to find. The taxi is hi tech with GPS, tablet pc at the back and receipt prints, electric buses,solar powered things…etc.

You can see the whole city is clean…but the people have some way of doing the mother nature thingy not in the toilet but (it’s about the trousers design)….You find it yourself in google.

Shanghai world expo is massive, 300,000 to 400,000++ visitors each day by a paid tickets. You can imagine the ques and the ticketing areas. With other countries and vips having an event everyday at their Pavilion. The China People really know about Malaysia and Melaka too, they look at you and with the scarf they just know it. Result of the hundred years old relationship…

Using electric bus from Hotel to the expo, first day I use the taxi kena 180 yuan meeh.

The Shanghai Expore Culture Center with lot of International cuisine but as usual..hard to find halal one..

I was relieved to see a nasi and a sambal at Brunei Pavillion, I ate it and it cost 42 yuan…

Martha Stewart was on a trip to Malaysia arranged by Tourism Malaysia. Kudos for the Ministry for bringing this lady that once was named the third most powerful woman in America. The effort to bring Martha Stewart to Malaysia will sure make a great impact for Malaysia tourism Industry as few tourism attraction make a permanent link at Martha Blog. Melaka was among the States that she visit and she state clearly few places like good food at Cafe Botanica, riding with the trishaw and things that she like at antiques store Abdul Company and lovely Melaka Malay House at Villa Sentosa Kampung Morten.

That happen to Malaysia Airline System, although it is an Economy Class flight, the Staff Service excellence is World Class. So, they wins World’s Best Economy Class Award.

MAS Wins World’s Best Economy Class Award
KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 (Bernama) — Malaysia Airlines (MAS) won two awards — World’s Best Economy Class and Staff Service Excellence — at the 2010 World Airline Awards in Hamburg, Germany, last Thursday, it was announced here today.

The World Airline Awards is based on the World Airline Survey by Skytrax of more than 40 airlines from around the world, and the winners were selected by some 18 million air travellers from 100 different nationalities in a 10-month survey between July last year and April this year, said a MAS statement.

The statement quoted Skytrax chairman Edward Plaisted as saying that the World’s Best Economy Class award won by MAS reflected the quality of product and service delivered to its customers.
