Have a 3G on your phone? Now you can download Melaka guided tour directly on your phone. It’s like an informative map. Point and click at the attraction and it will show you the tourism product information.

How to get i-Tour Melaka?

Currently you can have it at Tourism Information Center. RM10. You will get a card, scratch the card for code, point your wap browser to www.sisna.com.my/itourmelaka and use the code to avtivate the i-tour Funtion. very card has a unique embedded number and can only be used once. You will need to have WAP enabled mobile phone before downloading i-Tour Melaka. Please consult your service provider for more information regarding WAP access.

It’s a massive used of wood here in Hotel construction. But the wood is not from around here or from this region. It’s Russian log wood. From what I can see this kind of tree looks like having similar diameter in size…interesting.

Philea Resort & Spa is located before or behind the Melaka Butterfly Park in Ayer Keroh. Headed to the Butterfly park and you will find the Philea Resort first

Expected to be open in 12 June 2010. They plan to make an official launch On 7th of June. The price tag is very pricey. The priciest among all the hotel in Melaka I think. Lowest price is about RM700++ for standard room (pavillion type) and Highest price is RM2000++ suite type.

Just wait for the launch to get the accurate figure.

Melaka Botanical Garden Buggy Ride…

If you feel not in the mood for jogging plus your kid don’t want to walk far enough, your trip at Melaka Botanical Garden can be done with a buggy car. The buggy car has started operation on 25 Mei 2010. You can used the buggy for a small fee except for the launching date.

The operation time for the buggy ride is from 10.00 am to 7.00pm. The buggy trek is about 4kilometer. Botanical garden have 14 buggy for used. Battery powered, so don’t expect to turn the jungle track into a race track with your friends. Estimated time for the buggy from start to finished is 30min.

Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen really a proactive Tourism Minister and she also a good promoter! After China world expo successful appearance and now she also doing the same thing at Dubai – Selling Malaysia.

DUBAI: Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen’s enterprising way of selling Malaysia as a preferred destination among Middle Eastern people has caught the imagination of many Arabian women.

Rohabayah Al-Mohamed, a journalist with United Arab Emirates-based newspaper Al-Arabya, said the Tourism Minister had created a significant impact among Arabian women when she was featured by three Arab news channels.

“Our newspaper office has been inundated with calls since the local television channels aired their interview with Dr Ng on Wednesday,” she told The Star on Thursday.
“Many were impressed with the confidence and the manner in which a woman minister spoke so eloquently about Malaysia.”

Rohabayah said many Arabian women were ignorant about Malaysia until they heard Dr Ng explain about the country’s multi-racial aspects and tourism potential.

Melaka Wonderland Theme Park Open in April 2010

After the good news for Ladies already happen (big Jay Jay open), now here is the good news for your kids – Melaka Wonderland Theme Park will be fully operation in April. This RM45 mil theme park also equipped with ‘tornado’ game, first in South East Asia Region. The opening date will be starting 15 April.

Melaka Wonderland Theme Park in 23 acre land expected to be much bigger then Sunway Lagoon. Other than tornado, it will have wave pool, lazy cum crazy river and many more water base game attraction. A Hotel with 168 room also will be build at the theme park and the construction will be started after Chinese New Year Celeberation.

Melaka Chief Minister Said that Melaka Wonderland Theme park can accommodate 4000 people at a time and also can attract at least 300,000 tourist arrival to this State. The location is also strategic just after the Ayer Keroh Toll Exit (Taman Botanikal / Botanical Garden). Well guys make sure to book your time this 15 April for the ‘water assignment!’.
