Ayer Keroh Country Resort (AKCR)



Don’t confuse it with Ayer Keroh D’ Village Resort. It is 2 different hotel but located in Ayer Keroh. These two hotel also not far from each other. Actually not a hotel type but an affordable resort surrounded by lush greenery.

The greens because the hotel actually located near a small area of forest that in the Area of Melaka Zoo and Taman Mini Malaysia. So how to reach Ayer Keroh Country Resort? From Ayer Keroh toll exit, proceed straight and you will pass Petronas, Seri Malaysia and after that AKCR. Before you enter AKCR you can see Taman Mini Malaysia on the right and bee farm on your left.

20,000 Thai tourists to Melaka this year

That’s Melaka hope for 2010. Yesterday the Melaka delegation was doing ‘Jom Ke Melaka 2010′ tourism promotion at Hatyai. The easiest route from the kingdom of Siam to visit Melaka are using the North-South Highway. I think the Number of Malaysian goes to Thailand are larger than they visit us. Thailand also heavily rely on tourism to generate the economy. They also have what we have and some of them are known among the best in the world.

53 Years of Freedom



We got 2 national event this August , starting with the fasting month of Ramdhan and Malaysian Independence on 31st of August. British is the last and Melaka also hold many of the historical past. This Statue at Dataran Pahlawan can tell the Story. The Malaysian Independence was first announced in Melaka.

You can visit Banda Hilir to study about Malaysian Independence at Memorial Kemerdekaan Banda Hilir or Independence Memorial. Built in 1911 was once a Malacca Club Building. In 20 February 1956, Malaysia first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj declared Malaysian Independence in front of this Building.

Antique at Cyclamen Cottage



Because of Melaka title as a World Heritage Site, there are many antique building here. But antique doesn’t mean it is old and rusty, for certain people it is unique. Feel it yourself and you will know.

So here it is, the Cyclamen Cottage. The hotel actually in British era was a home to the British Officials. After that it was used by the Straits-born Chinese or the Peranakans.

Just about 5 to 10 minutes drives from the town center depending on the traffic. Starting at Jalan Tengkera, drive straight where you can see the Tengkera Mosque historic minaret on your right. Go until you pass the tengkera primary school and when you see a Good Year tyre workshop, turn right at Lorong Teck Chye Avenue and you can see it, the sprawling lawn.
