Cruising with the beauties..

The beauties are coming back! but this time for a cause. 16 girls from all over Malaysia come to Melaka and make it their temporary home until Miss Malaysia Earth 2008 Final at Everly Hotel this coming Saturday (12 July). They will be here for a week attending program for sponsors, city tour, making points and polishing their skills for the final. There will be a preview for the Miss Malaysia Earth 2008 both in Melaka and Kuala Lumpur. Catch all this girls Preview in KL at Sungei Wang and Aloha KL on Monday (7 July). First city tour for them was cruising the Melaka River and Mr. Bernard the tour guide sure make their first day in the open air full of information!.

As usual Festa San Juang is celebrated every each year on 23rd June. Every house at the Portuguese Settlement will lighten up by candles, children dress in green overall pajamas said to symbolizing their innocence. Lot of dance, stalls and food unique to the Small Portuguese Community that tries to preserved their culture and Identity. This year festa supported by Ministry of Tourism Malaysia and State Government.

The subject tells you what it is, it’s a sport as it is. A ‘Thon’… you may have heard about mara’thon’ and walka’thon’.This event is in the ‘thon’ group except this one is blooming with flowers. A – 3km walk on sunny day at Taman Botanikal (Melaka Botanical Garden) Ayer Keroh. The dress code is full of floral and fruity themes…and you are eligible to join. Say it like this – ‘imagine streets full of giant bobbing flowers and delicious fruits with arms and legs making their way towards the finishing line and participants will be judged not by speed but their floral costumes!’. Sound great for all Couch potato out there, no need body work out to win and you can still eat plenty of McD yet still has a chance to win this race.

At last all the papers were completed and today 9th June 2008 the Ground Breaking Ceremony of Eye on Malaysia – Melaka by Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam Chief Minister of Melaka. Other VIP’s including Datuk Othman Muhamad – State Speaker, Datuk Omar Kasih – State Secretary, Datuk Zainal Husin – UPEN Director, Mr. Adam Young – CEO Eye on Malaysia Melaka. The event took place at Melaka River Mouth in front of the Melaka CIQ and Marina project.

Melaka State Government has appointed Datuk Zainal Husin as a Chairman of Eye on Malaysia Melaka with Mr. Adam Yong as a CEO. The project build on 4 acre state government land. The Ferris Wheel is 60 meter high and 400 tone in weight. With 42 gondola attached this ferris wheel move with its 21 wheel radial using Swiss-German technology. Visitors can see as far as 20 kilometers with the 12 minutes ride. Eye on Malaysia will have a value added that are laser beam and sound with its world largest water screen measuring 90 x 30 meter. Aerospace exhibition also will be available.

Nowadays we must bring beautiful ladies and setup a ceremony at 5 Star Hotel to make people not to litter and save the mother earth. What’s up with you guys eh? Hahah. Today 5 Jun, the officiating ceremony and press conference of Miss Malaysia Earth 2008 at Everly Hotel Klebang. Everly Hotel is the main sponsor for this year Miss Earth. So the lady will be sleeping here at Everly and make all staff at Everly want to be a bell boy :-) .

Starting at 10.00am all the Staff at Everly and Crew of My Production work together for cleaning up the Klebang Beach in front of the hotel but I cannot find any of their bosses ;-) . A press conference started at 11am with Datuk Seet Har Cheow making a remark. Accompanying him was Mr. Dennis Tan GM of Everly Hotel Groups, Mr. AB Dullah State Tourism Promotion GM, Mr Ahmad Yahya Director of Tourism Malaysia Melaka and The Taikoh Mr. Yip the Promoter.

From 3rd-13th of July 2008 14 beauties all over Malaysia will gathered at Everly Resort Klebang for A Cause – Save the Earth Campaign & National Final of Miss Malaysia Earth 2008. Melaka will be host for this year beauty pagent. Unlike the Miss Malaysia / Universe, all this Misses from Miss Malaysia Earth not only expose their natural beauty but to voice out to all Malaysians to get involved in the preservation of the environment, global warming and protection of Mother Earth.

The Miss Malaysia Earth 2008 winner shall be the Ambassador to represent and promote Environmental issue and Tourism Industry at the world level. It is definitely the metamorphosis step accomplished for all these ladies in glamour and charm. As such, this is a pageant with a difference, this pageant is completely different with any other pageants, with its own characteristic. It provides a good platform to promote and market tourism attractions, cities with tourism interests, tourism products, fashion, culture and national goodwill. It will be a dream come true for the winner to represent Malaysia at the Miss Earth 2008 (World Final) later this October 2008, in Manila, Philippines.
