How about staycation?

From Wikipedia,

“A staycation (also spelled stay-cation, stacation, or staykation; known in the United Kingdom as a stoliday or holistay) is a neologism for a period of time in which an individual or family stays and relaxes at home, or vacations in their own country, possibly taking day trips to area attractions”

Among your staycation tools…

Well, this week until next week are school holidays. What are your plan with the kids? It’s all depending on our budget. Maybe in the middle of the year working parents can’t have extra leave from the boss. 1 or 2 days is not sufficient for a long travel.

As a result, the kids will have to agree with just city vacation or this staycation thing. But we can save the money for end of the year big vacation when parents can get extra year end leave and bonuses.

Activities of this staycation can start from your house compound like barbeque with neighbors, playing in the air pool for kid, going to grandma house pluck some fruits and going to your local attractions such as theme park, museums, movies, fancy restaurants..etc.

Well, the impact of staycation versus normal holiday of course less money involve. Them important thing is your quality time with the family. If you do a trip oversea but still carrying your laptop, broadband connection and still contacting the office, it will be the same as you ‘staycation’.
