MELAKA, August 2009 – In this fasting month, a good buka puasa (breaking of fast) dinner together is a good way of strengthening ties. Renaissance Melaka Hotel celebrates the holy month of Ramadhan festivities that promise to delight everyone.
Beginning with the sighting of the new moon, Renaissance Melaka Hotel has created special culinary delights for its patrons for the entire month of Ramadhan. Set in a lush natural setting, guests will indulge in the delicacies that have been prepared to commemorate this very special month.
Diners will be delighted with the diversity of the menu, created under the lead of Ooi In Jin, the executive chef. This year the spread feature a combination of traditional and modern cookbook from Malay, Chinese and Western kitchen. A special feature this year sees the introduction of authentic Indonesian and Balinese cuisine that provides the food lovers another new culinary experience. Must-try Indonesian dishes are Rendang Padang, Sambal Ikan Merah, Empal Daging Ayam, Sambal Udang Taucho and delightful Balinese dishes includes Daging Bumbu Bali, Balinese Duck Curry, Squid with Green Papaya, and many more to come.
Our Ramadhan buffet extravaganza showcase over 100 different dishes from freshly prepared salads and kerabu, soups, hot dishes as well as tantalizing desserts, a variety of thirst quencher beverages and action-cooking stall dishes. Popular dishes from the rotating menu are Asam Pedas and Satay Celup (choice of varieties). There are live action stalls serving up a variety of sumptuous delicacies like roti canai, noodle, roasted lamb shoulder, congee, ice kacang and desserts to break the fast.
