An opening ceremony for the completion of Batu Berendam Airport will be held on 5th May 2009 Tuesday. The ceremony will be officiated by Y.A.B Datuk Seri Mohd. Ali bin Mohd. Rustam, Chief Minister of Melaka.
Time : 9.00 AM
Place : Melaka Main Airport Terminal Batu Berendam.
All are invited to the ceremony.

Good that Malacca will have an International Airport. Hopefully, full load Airbus and Boeing 737s can land in Melaka by the end of this year.
It will be great to fly from Melaka to Singapore, Sumatra, Bangkok or even Hong Kong in the future.
Once there is direct flight from Hong Kong, Dr. Mah can fly in from Hong Kong to Melaka for the weekend on AirAsia and have his favourite Malacca dishes before flying home again.
TWKang is really kind and remembers I am a Malacca fan !! It will be great to
have more nephews like him who not only keeps me updated on things Malacca
but also cares for my tummy !! Yes ! Why not !… if there are cheap fares from HK
to Malacca direct it will be worth to make the short trip home during long weekends !
