I can say Malaysia is eating heaven. If you are a foodie or enjoy eating, please come to Malaysia and you will impress by the variety of food from around the world. Okay just put aside local Malay food for a while. You want Japanese? Balinese? Singapore Koay Teow? Arab Bread, French Toast, Various Indian Province curry, all type of Chinese, Korean Station and not to mention western food. The best thing about Malaysia is you can get all the food with ‘Halal’ certificate. This are among the reason why the Arabs like to spend a long vacation here in Malaysia.

Talking about food, you should check out the not very new – Newton Food Court here at Jalan Merdeka. From Melaka Town, the Newton can be easily spotted opposite the Menara Taming Sari, Before Mahkota Parade Shopping Complex and Near to the Dataran Pahlawan. Opens from 11am to 12pm, you can experience the mix bag of Melakan cuisine and eating Malaysian style here. Eating in the open, large quantity, extra cooked, chilies hot, oily, mix spoon-fork-plate, too many soy sauce, salty, little prawn in mee but with cheap and affordable price.

Previously, Newton was famous for the Chinese and located at Jalan Banda Hilir. Now the new Newton are targeted for all and it has the Halal section. With wooden based architecture, the Newton design is basically like a Malay Houses. You can see the pointed tile roofed, similar to old Malay Melaka houses. Halal section is just beside the Chinese section, you will find the Chinese section first than after that the halal food court. The halal section also offer variety Malay food like Melaka Signature ‘Assam Pedas’, Sate, clay pot chicken rice and the all time famous nasik lemak .
