My babie is smilin’

Just about 35 days and Rayn is smiling and laughing happily. He start to making uuuhhh….aahhh sound too. Ryan is more quick than my first child Nurina. Nurina started to laughing and respond to adult trying to be funny at her when her age was about 2 month old.

Melaka: Going to be the best cultural heritage sites in the world!!!



Hi all….as we know, last 7th of July 2008, Melaka was finally got the UNESCO heritage list as a world heritage city, together with the Georgetown, Penang. As the Melakan people, I can’t stop to be so proud and hopefully Melaka will become the most amazing tourist destination in the world. These two states have become the Malaysia’s first cultural heritage sites. The Melaka government with their full commitment has do a lot to achieve this and the effort are still going strong.

Executive Report : Tourist Arrivals in Melaka Jan – Aug 07/08′

Tourist Arrivals report are back! From January to August 2008, total of 4.6 million tourist has visited Melaka. Domestic tourist make the larger pie with 3.7 million (80%) visitors rather than 892,000 foreign tourist (20%). Compared to 2007 Jan – Aug tourist arrival, this year Melaka got an increased about 887,252 tourist or 23.7% flowing in. Below are the top 5 country that visited Melaka last 8 month:

1-SINGAPORE : 14,839 (7.9%)

2-CHINA : 13,591 (7.2%)

3-INDONESIA : 7,549 (4.0%)

4-SAUDI ARABIA : 6,905 (3.7%)

5-HONG KONG : 5,518 (2.9%)

Average rate for hotel accommodation and length of night stay for the month of August decreasing respectively. Average of hotel accommodation down to 47.47% from 58.98% in July and length of night stay down to 1.65 night from 1.76 night in July.

Time to Walk!

My Confinement period is now almost over and I decided to visit some of my friends to raya, eat the raya food and go shopping to get some brand new item. I still got a half month remaining leave before started to work. It’s about a month after giving a birth, I’am not getting any McD’s. Now is the time to grab a bite. Buying some new cloth and handbag sure will make first day at work more refresh and motivated. It’s also about a month don’t bring my daughter to go sightseeing. She love to go anywhere as long as go out from the house. From my opinion, women after pregnancy should brave themselves to walk, eat as many protein, doing some light exercise and do a make over. Some old custom like just lying down at home for 44 days, eat only limited and selected food or bath once a day should now suit with current situations…

Malacca High, Est : 19th Century



Malacca had among the oldest Government School in Malaysia as early as 19th centuries. In fact, Melaka High School is the oldest government School in Malaysia established in 1826. Following are Infant Jesus Convent Secondary School of Melaka established in 1856 and St. Francis Institution established in 1880. Infant Jesus Convent and St. Francis Institution are open by Christian Missionaries in the early days and now the building still preserving the Christian identity such as small chapel inside school.

Eid ul-Fitr – Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri 2008



Today mark the end of fating month for all the Muslims in the world. Now is the month of Shawwal, after the month of Ramadan the fasting month. Every religions in the world have own festive season. As usual all festive season will be the month of feast. Here in Melaka or Malaysia in general, all houses are open to the guest with many serving and delicacies. Because the majority of Muslims in Malaysia are Malays, you will see many rice base dishes, all curry and many beef / chicken.
