Bright Night At Banda Hilir




Spot light brighten the Heritage Site at Banda Hilir Melaka. Stand at Dataran Pahlawan grand stand and you can view the history – The Fort,the Ruin, the Bastion, the Sultanate Palace and the Independence Memorial. All have own unique history in the time line. Fort by Portuguese 600 years ago, Ruin by Dutch, The Bastion by Dunlop at 1910 and 1957 Memorial of Independence.

When Should your baby going public?



I already took my baby Ryan out when about a month old to buy some toddlers shirt at Jusco. Then after that bringing him to other relative houses during Eid Fitr. When not work in Saturday or Sunday, I will bring baby Ryan where ever I go except if I have official office work or event. Usually we are afraid to bring our newborn go out to see the world outside home because fear of infection or accident.

I already Search over the Internet if there are any certain age of newborn before bringing them out, but there is no certain age limit. Yes we can bring our newborn out to public if we are comfortable with it and capable of handling them.

Diwali Festive of Light 2008





HAPPY DEEPAVALI TO ALL MALAYSIAN AND ALL OVER THE WORLD!

Deepavali is a festival where people from all age groups participate. They give expression to their happiness by lighting earthen ‘diyas’ (lamps), decorating the houses, bursting firecrackers and inviting near and dear ones to their households for partaking in a sumptuous feast. The lighting of lamps is a way of paying obeisance to god for attainment of health, wealth, knowledge, peace, valor and fame.

Don’t leave you kid, go travel with them!




Okay once you have a child, the honeymoon period is over and kids are the honey to all your moon. To leave your precious at mom home can solve many problem if you plan to travel but if you can bring them together, it will be more fun and memorable. With children especially babies on board, there will be extra things in your luggage to bring and forgetting some of the stuff like baby bottles can give you a headache. Here are some traveling with children checklist to help you remember. Have fun with your kid when traveling and don’t forget to activate your car child lock.

Malacca Trademark Staircase



A hundred years old Melaka house.

In Malaysia, if you talk about ‘Tangga Melaka’ or Malacca Staircase everybody will know the decorative tile from China stick to a wide outside staircase. In other Malaysian state, old Malay traditional houses will have a wooden staircase and all part of the house is made by wood. For Melaka traditional house, the main front staircase is made from brick. For your info, traditional Malay houses are build higher than the ground, not at the ground. It use pillars made from logs to stand the house up. The height is like a double storey house just no room below with pillars to support the building.

Little India @ Jalan Bendahara



We can say where ever we go we can find Curry and Noodles because Little India and China Town are almost everywhere in the world. This including Melaka. Jalan bendahara and Jalan Temenggong intersection in Bandar Hilir are famous for it’s Indian origin shophouses. We can call it Melaka Little India. It is little compared to little India in Penang, Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. So it suit the name little India.

When talking about Little India, everyone knows there will be their trademark Saree’s, dhoti and colorful women accessories. Foodstuff? A home made curry powder, Indian snacks like achi marukku and vadai. Yes, Banana Leaf rice is available here.
