Last month the hottest new donuts outlet in town, Big Apple Donuts was opening its 20th branch at Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall. At the opening ceremony Big Apple were giving away free donuts to all visitors. To celebrate the opening, the first 150 customers with a cut-out coupon from The Star were entitled to redeem a box of six donuts. Many of Malaccan never taste the donuts before rushed to the outlet to grabs the wide variety of donuts from Big Apple. May said that donuts from big Apple are more fresh, soft and tender rather than Dunkin Donuts and have the similarity with J.Co Donuts.

The outlet open at Dataran Pahlawan ground floor, at the Carrefour lobby also have several types of coffee other than its 20 choices of donuts topping. This 1.5 million outlet was officiate by State Women Affairs and Family Development and Health committee chairperson, Norpipah Abdol, on behalf of Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam. Also present was Chief Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Asmah Abdul Rahman, accompanied by Quid Pro Quo Sdn Bhd’s Chief Executive Officer, Fazlina Mustafa Kamil.

I had tried the donuts twice and the price maybe a little bit expensive as for one donuts you can get a plate of fried noodles. But you can’t resist the look on it and the taste will not let you down.
