Melaka is scheduled to be host to the inaugural International Invitational Beach Soccer Tournament from October 13 to 19 at the stretch of klebang beach. This seven day tournament should attract teams from Europe, South America & Asia. Beside Melaka being the host, Malaysia and seven othe teams are expected to appear for the first time in such a sport in Malaysia.
A temporary structures similar to temporary erected stadiums will be put put up at a number of strategic points along the Klebang Beach. Both local and foreigners could also be attracted to join in the fun and frolic atmosphere during the period. Such soccer giant that confirm to joint are Brazil and Australia. All the necessaries preparation such as inviting FIFA Beach Soccer Division with help of the Football Association of Malaysia also will be arrange to check if the specification meet Interanational Standards.
