For readers outside Malaysia, Mydin is like TESCO or Carrefour . You can get any groceries here. Just the flavor is Malaysian. Mydin store support local and small enterprise product. You can find dodols,kerepeks,belacans,inang-inangs and freshwater fish waterfish. Products from all over the country are available here.

A cafe is also attached to the Mydin Bazaar ‘Tanjong Cafe’ for those who needs refreshment and dine with the famous ‘mamak style’. The most interesting part of this Mydin compared to other Mydin in Malaysia is its open 24 hours!.

I went to Mydin last Sunday..
I just bought a few items..
After paying up , I requested ONLY ONE Plastic bag but it was turned down by the staff counter
It’s Company’ s Policy ,not to give any to the customers..
Mydin will not going to lost anything with a customer like me.
They proudly take Malay girls at the counter, Bangladesh or Indian as their workers
Before this I heard all the penalties imposed on the staffs ..
Now , I bet it is true.
I wonder whether they pay zakat ..
However Ah Chong , Muthu or Ahmad grocery shop is still my favorite
Mydin ! 95% of your customers are Malays !

I also experience the same thing at Mydin Bazaar 24 hours. Some more the cashier are not user friendly, to slow and most problem came from the 10 item counter. Seems they are not afraid of loosing customer. Will see about that …..
Kpd Pengurusan MYDIN
Saya cadangkan agar dapat pihak pengurusan MYDIN dgn kerjasama MBMB membaiki tapak kawasan yang lecak dan tidak rata di tepi bangunan MYDIN BAZAAR tersebut yg mana kadang kala digunakan meletak kereta oleh pelanggan.

saya bukannye ape..sepatutnye customer be alert bahawa kaunter ekspres utk barangan bawah 10 kuantiti sahaja.sape yg harus dipersalahkan??customer atau cashier?klu dekat tesco, pandai lak customer membaca signboard “kaunter ekpress”, tp kenape tidak di mydin??pk2kanlah siape yg mementingkan diri sendiri ye…jgn asyik menyalahkan org len sahaja..
