i'm really interested to know what do the drawings on the arc mean? ( not the ANNO but the soldiers-like figures)

there's a lot of assumptions why the british destroyed the fort..one of them i heard it is because the british wanted to erase the greatness of the portuguese empire generally or the the greatness of the fort in particular..it is believe the during the time, the fortaleza of malacca (a famosa) was greater and more sophisticated than the tower of london. this made the english envied the portuguese as the superpower at that time while the english was still struggling. during the destruction, british empire was the superpower.

may be it served the barbaric religious extremist portuguese right, the walls were built from the ruins of malacca ( some said from the very stones of the palace, mosques and graveyards)

the barbaric destruction can be used to defend ourselves if any western hypocrites try to accuse us of destroying historical heritages..

anyway...great site u have here
