Apart from its main function as a bus and taxi terminal, the Melaka Sentral complex is also made up of a modern wet market, a bazaar and a shopping arcade.

The shopping arcade, which is located within the main building of Melaka Sentral, has become of the latest shopping destination
for both locals and visitors alike, perhaps due to its easy accessibility and the relatively cheaper prices.
Built at a cost of about RM48 million, the Melaka Sentral complex was officiated by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on May 14 last year, during his working visit to the State.
Melaka Sentral are just 10 Minutes from Melaka Town, near the Tesco Hypermarket and near the Al-Azim mosque at the south. This terminal is a hub for all taxis and buses in the State of Melaka for Domestic and National Route. It’s all air conditioned even at the waiting terminal. Melaka Sentral is the largest bus and taxi terminal in Malaysia for now.
